“Coffee with a friend is like capturing happiness in a cup”.
Starting October 7th, our Coffee Hour resumes, which means everyone is invited to the Church Hall following the 10:00 AM service for Coffee Hour. It is a great way to stay connected with our fellow Parishioners while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and some light snacks.
We have been very fortunate to have so many people in the past sign up to take a turn hosting. There is a sign up sheet in the Church foyer for you to select a date to host. On your day of hosting, one of the coffee team members will be there to open the Church and assist you with set up and clean up. All we ask of you is to bring 1 litre of milk, a small variety of light snacks, and your time to serve coffee and tea.
We also are looking for a couple more volunteers to be part of the Coffee Set-up Team Member. This job includes, opening the Hall around 9:30 AM, making a 30-cup urn of coffee, making a pot of decaffeinated coffee, getting the tea pots and cozies out, filling the kettles and boiling the water, filling sugar bowls and creamers, cleaning up everything after, putting the tables away, taking the garbage out, and locking and arming the Church. It sounds like a lot but it really isn’t! One of the current team members would be happy to be with you the first time you take a Sunday and stay until you are comfortable on your own. If we have 6 on the team your turn will only come around once every 6 weeks!
