On September 30, after much thought and prayer, Bishop Don announced his intention to retire in the next 12 to 18 months. He will be working with Diocesan Council and other leadership to ensure a smooth transition in episcopal ministry. The proposed plan involves the election of a Co-Adjutor bishop in 2018, shortly before Bishop Don steps down.
